A Black Swan Event is a metaphor for something that occurs unexpectedly, has a major effect, and then inappropriately rationalized through hindsight.
According to Nassim Nicholas Taleb, these events are high-profile, hard to predict, and rare.
Preparedness is largely funded by the taxpayer, except where generous donations of volunteer time complete successful programs. Accountability to taxpayers is the cornerstone of our service. Fiscal responsibility while managing your project means that each penny will directly enhance vigilance and resilience. If our service does not result in improved capability, you do not pay.
Business, small and large, recognizes the priority for preparedness, but is challenged to find funding when customer value and profitability dominate effective spending. If our service does not make your environment more prepared, you do not pay.
Preparedness is often an additional duty. Regular duties challenge the emergency manager for adequate time and attention. Our services leverage your time and strengthen your own success.
Lastly, responders, volunteers and emergency preparedness focuses individuals do not always work 9-5. Their ability to get training and exerciser should not be a 9-5 endeavor as well. We accommodate all shifts and schedules with no extra fees or surcharge. We work when you work.
